Our History
Founded in April 1972 by Pastor Garland Faw, Truth Temple began in a local community building with a few people who desired God’s presence. In June of 1972, the church purchased 19 acres of land on Moose Road in Kannapolis and an outdoor arbor was built to conduct church services. The church body endured the elements from August of 1972 to February of 1973 in the outdoor arbor, while the sanctuary was built. In 1974, the Moment of Truth television broadcast began as a vision of Pastor Faw. He envisioned a television ministry, which allowed viewers to experience the spirit of God through the broadcast. This vision has continued to minister to people of all ages and cultures throughout the years and is supported by local viewers. In 1980, Truth Temple built a new sanctuary. Truth Temple is a multi-generational church, which believes in the power of each generation. Under the leadership of Pastor Faw, Truth Temple is a powerful church believing for a genuine move of God in this area.
